The Junior League of Durham and Orange Counties (JLDOC) invites you to join us for our 9th annual Home Roam Tour from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., Saturday April 22nd.
The self-guided tour, located in the Croasdaile neighborhood in Durham, invites homeowners to open their doors to ticket holders, allowing them to view innovative design, thoughtful renovations, custom details, and impeccable decorating. Each home also features a bite and sip of something local.
Having recently celebrated its 50th anniversary, Croasdaile Country Club was established by Drs. Frances & Herbert Fox on farmland inherited from Frances Fox’s father, John Sprunt Hill, a prominent Durham financier and community leader. They developed a neighborhood that offered beautiful homes, a professionally designed, championship golf course, and other amenities. Join us to see this beautiful neighborhood for yourself!
Tickets are $30 the day of the event and can be purchased at the Croasdaile Country Club, 3800 Farmgate Ave, Durham, NC 27705.

This home sat empty for almost two years before the Foleys decided to make the purchase in 2001. The house was built in the 80’s, but has undergone some changes. The Foleys decided to add on about 500 square feet, this includes the gorgeous mudroom/laundry room with an amazing sliding door, a family friendly sunroom, and expanding the living room area.

Driving into the neighborhood, it doesn’t take long to notice this grand house. With a circle driveway and an immaculate manicured lawn, this gorgeous brick home is quite a treasure. Mary and Robert Long have done an amazing job designing and decorating their home. This home features a recreational room, billiards room, and a grand office.

Sophia Caudle describes her own personal taste as being very non-traditional and a desire to design with pieces that are more one-of-a-kind rather than everyday items. For example, be sure to check out the gorgeous Italian blown glass chandelier in the formal sitting room, the one-of-a-kind crystal chandelier in the dining room, and the kitchen lighting that was hand-made locally in Raleigh, NC.
